WebSep 3, 2010 · I found a pretty good deal on a Brand New St Croix Tidemaster TS80XHXF for $105 shipped but I've never held a rod like that in my hands before so I am not sure if that's too much of a rod for what I want. Also, would you recommend a 7 or 8 foot rod and what type of rating MH 10-20, H 15-30 or XH-XXH 17-40. Please let me know your opinions.
