WebJun 20, 2024 · Abstract: Hair is one of the most challenging objects to reconstruct due to its micro-scale structure and a large number of repeated strands with heavy occlusions. In this paper, we present the first method to capture high-fidelity hair geometry with strand-level accuracy. Our method takes three stages to achieve this. WebA reconstruction step is finally performed to efficiently generate a smooth and dense hair model. HairNet 5 3.1 Preprocessing We first adopt PSPNet [42] to produce an accurate and robust pixel-wise hair mask of the input portrait image, followed by computing the undirected 2D ori- entation for each pixel of the hair region using a Gabor filter [26].
