You don't need some third party library for that, but of course you shouldn't use that code at all. Instead you should use a library that does that for you.

If you can't use authenticated encryption, use CBC or CTR mode encryption, and then apply a MAC (e.g., AES-CMAC or SHA1-HMAC) to the resulting ciphertext.
